At 08:30, our guide will meet you at the hotel to start the cyclo tour. We will discover the eastern side of the city.

Giac Lam Pagoda, the oldest one in Ho Chi Minh City with huge Buddha statues system which was built in 1774. Then ride to Cho Lon (Big Market) and Thien Hau Pagoda which is located inside China Town.  This place has great historical and cultural importance with many temples and pagodas in the area.

Before the tour ends, stop to visit the Ben Thanh Market, the very same market that the group in the movie went shopping at and got to taste durian (an infamous tropical fruit) for the first time.

You will get back to the hotel around midday and the rest of the day is your free time to explore and fall in love with the city.

Our tour will begin with a pick up from your hotel.

You will be greeted by our local guides and then introduced to the proper way to ride on the back of the bike during your tour.

Each guest rides with an English speaking local guide who will introduce them to the areas of the city as we make our way to the different food vendors spread throughout the different districts of Ho Chi Minh.

At each stop we will get off the bikes and sit down to eat together like a family.

This is a great day or evening out to experience the exciting chaos of Ho Chi Minh City and experiment by trying different forms of local cuisine.

Our driver will transfer you to the airport at the right time for your flight to Da Nang. When you arrive at Da Nang, another driver will transfer you to the hotel in Hoi An to check in and relax.

In the morning you will depart Hoi An for the 50km journey to My Son, which is a collection of temple ruins constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries by the kings of Champa. Influenced by Hinduism, these temples were a place for worshiping Shiva and Vishnu. During the war it became a base for the Viet Cong,  becoming a target for US bombing leaving only 20 of the 70 structures intact. The tour of the ruins takes approximately 1.5 hours and the drive is about an hour each way.

This afternoon your Hoi An walking tour will commence. Explore  the beautiful ancient town and all its history with stops at museums, local markets, assembly halls, ancient houses and of course the Japanese covered bridge.

You will end off your experiencing on a short boat trip on Hoai river and have a chance to float some Hoi An paper flower lanterns along the gentle water of the river and make your wish.

As much as Sinh is great to look at, he does have questionable moments as a tour guide, he is rarely seen giving anyone else but Amanda the hot tourist fact, right? Our tour guides are a wee bit more professional, but still fun and make sure that everyone on the tour is having a good experience, not just the select few !

At 830 am, you will be picked up at your hotel. The tour starts by cycling along the Thu Bon River to visit a local fishing village.

Ride along country lanes at a peaceful pace viewing local life and pause to see farmers toiling in their rice fields using centuries old farming practices. Peddle your way through palm forests, across bridges; past fields of water buffalo..Take a short break at a local family's yard before enjoying an hour boat trip inside the coconut water palm forest. After that, get back on your bike and ride to Tra Que herbs & vegetables organic village. Here you will be shown the environmental way to plant which the farmers have used for centuries and continue to use today. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then ride back to town.

You will get back to the hotel around 1:00PM and relax.

Early pick up at your hotel to begin your visit to Ba Na Hills where the popular Golden Hands Bridge is, also known as the second DaLat/ Sapa in Central Vietnam.

Take in the incredible views from your private cable car as you  ascend up the mountain. Once you are there you will be shown around by your guide and told about this very interesting and unique place as well as given time to explore and have fun.

Enjoy lunch and relaxation time, included in your tour.

ONLY IN THE MOVIES

The group in the movie is disappointed that they could not see Ba Na Hills as they had not got their tickets in time. This is what happens with the unrealistic, go the with the flow aspect of the movie - although I'm pretty sure Wide Eyed Tours & Travel would be able to sort it last minute. The cast did however go visit the Golden Hand Bridge off-set!

Our driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. When you arrive at Hanoi another driver will transfer you to the hotel to check in and relax.

Depart at 8 am from your hotel. Your guide will lead you on a city tour to visit Uncle Ho. Learn about his great life at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Presidential Gardens, Temple of Literature and Tran Quoc Pagoda. All visitors to the mausoleum are required to wear clothes covering your knees and shoulders. This applies to both men and women.

You will be transferred back to the hotel around midday and the afternoon is your free time.

Iate afternoon, make your own way to the Water Puppet Theatre to watch the Water Puppet show at 5 pm.

Depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau – an idyllic valley home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai. Enjoy a cycling tour with the local guide to explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Thia, Chieng Sai, Cha Long, Tong Dau and Van villages.

Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Enjoy a traditional dance show with dinner and loosen up with some Ruou Can - local rice wine.

Get first hand experience in making local dishes and shopping for ingredients at the local markets.

We will return to lively Hanoi for the evening.
